Original Paintings by Elaine Anagnos, Painter of Cats, People and Life with a Twist

As a child in Massachusetts, Elaine Anagnos remembers drawing
her own cartoons and asking her mother if  "anyone would buy them".
She did not get serious about her artwork until many years later
when she moved to New York City and studied with an instructor
who emphasized impressionism.  Again -- another interruption when
when she started her own meeting planning business in New York.
Since moving to St. Petersburg in 1991, however, she devotes full
time to art, which has included teaching at The Arts Center and making
unique jewelry and T-shirts.   She has studied with Grace Keeler,
Ted Minchin, Michael Schlicting and most recently, Judith Dazzio.

Elaine is a signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society (FWS)
The International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP)  and is represented
Elaine with one of her many paintings   in many private collections  throughout the U.S., Canada and Great
Britain.  Her art is always on view at A Little Room for Art in Historic
Pass-A-Grille, Florida, an artists' cooperative of which she is a founding
member. Elaine lives in St. Petersburg with her husband, a dog and a cat.
