"My artwork explores a high sense of the unrealistic. Cats and people are my |
| favorite subjects and I often combine the two. People tell me my work conveys | |
| an underlying sense of humor - women attending the Red Hat Society meeting; | |
| pink, red and blue cats - and sometimes absurdity in people's situations; e.g., | |
| cat sitting on a woman's head and a bird sitting on the cat! | |
| I paint mainly with acrylic and mixed media because it suits my temperament - | |
| I can "slash and burn" to my heart's content. My aim is to be simple and direct, | |
| to explore shapes and color, and to make people smile." | |
